December 2010: Dartmouth, Devon. A plan is hatched.
July 2011: Cowbridge, South Wales. Reference photos taken.
August 2011: Wiltshire. Set up pencil rough drawing produced.
August 2012: Inking final version starts.
January 2013: Inking finished.
Time taken to produce image: Over 100 hours

Never let it be said I rush these things.

A massive thank you to Armorel Hamilton for helping with this project and without her creative genius making the Faybles in the first place this picture could not have happened.

The Faybles are from the imagination of my friend Armorel. She is the person in the picture and the creatures around her are some of her Faybles which she makes. Have a look at the link in the text accompanying he picture and it will take you to her web site if you want to see where the reference came from. This was all drawn from life except the surround which I made up.

Wow. Now I don't feel so gloomy about my pictures not showing up every other day. Gives me perspective on my own time table. This is a lot of fun, with classic characters. I've been looking at detailed pen and inks. I think I can tell the female from the male cat. I don't know how.
