Digital work using both Painter and Photoshop. Reference was photo I took of Ladydchaos.

This image came about after the model Ladydchaos saw a picture on the deviant art web site by the artist Donaruie. Realising that the image had the same clothes as her, Jackie thought she would like to recreate the pose as a photo. Which we did while working on other images. Only I liked the pose so much, that I had to turn it back into a painting. Thanks to Donaruie for letting me work with her original idea.

This was the first figurative painting that I had finished in something like a decade and the first to use Corel Painter. At the same time I produced Succubus Storm, Blusher and The Change. For this one, I first produced a single colour acrylic underpainting which can be seen in the texture of the gargoyle. I then painted over the scan of the underpainting. It was really a case of learning as I went along.
