Digital painting using both Painter lX and Photoshop. Reference for painting used from a photo that I took of Deviant Ladydchaos.

[edit] 30-04-08 I have added texture to the gargoyle's head and the wings. Also made a few adjustments elsewhere to sharpen things up a bit. By the standards of my recent tinkering with my pictures, I have not done too much in the way of alterations to this one.

This is such a wonderful piece! The lighting is what drew me in - but when I got that full view and saw the amazing details - the colors and textures- WOW! I like the way that the curve of the wing is repeated in the curve of the ear - just draws you right into the image. :+fav:
